abstract |
To provide a polyalkylene glycol copolymer which is: useful in applications such as a detergent builder application for which high detergency is required, capable of responding to various soils such as hydrophilic or hydrophobic soils in such applications; excellent in characteristics such as anti-soil redeposition capability; and which can be used in various applications in which polyalkylene glycol copolymers are used, a monomer useful as a raw material of such a copolymer, a production method thereof, and an application thereof. A polyalkylene glycol copolymer comprising a constitutional unit (a) derived from a polyalkylene glycol chain-containing unsaturated monomer (A) and a constitutional unit (b) derived from an unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer (B), wherein the polyalkylene glycol chain-containing unsaturated monomer (A) contains at least three polyalkylene glycol chains and, between an unsaturated bond and a nitrogen atom, at least one polyalkylene glycol chain-branching structure. |
