titleOfInvention | Method for producing surface structures and element having a surface structure for use in biosensors or for the production of cell guiding structures |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing surface structures and to an element having a surface structure for the use in biosensors and for the production of cell guiding structures. The aim of the invention is to simplify the production and to provide a reproducible structuring. According to the invention, a substrate is provided with a layer of mainly tetrehedrally bonded amorphous carbon. A local transformation of the amorphous carbon in graphite binding structures is achieved by local radiation bombardment or by using a micro handling system, a potential difference existing between the tip and the layer of said system, resulting in the formation of regions which are spaced apart from one another, have larger volumes and/or a higher electrical conductivity. A metallic coating is applied onto such regions and capture molecules are being deposited on said regions via known binding mechanisms. |
