abstract Disclosed is a method for preparing expandable polystyrene particles containing graphite particles. The expandable polystyrene particles containing the graphite particles are prepared by adding graphite, an expanding agent and a C6-C10 aromatic hydrocarbon to aqueous suspended polystyrene particles and heating the mixture. The expandable polystyrene particles prepared according to this method have a good effect of improving thermal conductivity, and also have excellent thermal insulation properties because they form fine cells when expanded.
