abstract | This invention relates to a synergistic composition made of a herbicidally effective amount of a propanil-based product, such as Super Wham® (RICECO, Inc., Memphis, TN) and the at least one ALS inhibitor herbicide such as Regiment® (Valent U.S.A. Corp. Walnut Creek, CA) in an amount sufficient to facilitate the herbicidal activity of the propanil-based herbicide. It has been found that this synergistic composition, when applied to a field of rice, allows a reduction in the amount of herbicide needed, greater flexibility in timing of the application and broad spectrum of weed control. |
