abstract The invention relates to a method for obtaining method for obtaining sulphonates of unsaturated methyl esters derived from an oleic acid. The invention comprises the direct sulphonation of an unsaturated methyl ester derived from an oleic acid, without hydrogenation. The invention also relates to the use of said sulphonates as anionic surfactants in detergent formulations, as wetting agents or as agents for dispersing calcium or magnesium salts in hard water.
