abstract An analyzer having a structure enabling infrared spectroscopy upto a long frequency range and having an excellent practicability. The analyzer has a light source and a light sensor. The light source is composed of a seed light source emitting a laser beam and a solid high-nonlinearity optical fiber for producing SC light when receiving the laser beam and emitting the SC light as an application light to an object. The light sensor detects a light to be detected from the object to which the application light is applied. From the seed light source of the light source, a pulse light whose center wavelength is in the range from 1.3 to 1.8 µm is emitted.
