abstract It is possible to reproduce a music content corresponding to a play list so as to reflect the user's taste. A music content database (7) contains a plurality of music content. A CPU (3) creates a genre rank so that the genre of the music content having a high reproduction frequency has a higher rank. Moreover, the CPU (3) creates a play list based on tempo and stores the created play list in a play list database (8). The CPU (3) selects a play list corresponding to the movement tempo obtained from a tempo detection unit (9) and selects a music content of genre having a higher rank in the genre rank from the music contents corresponding to the selected play list. The selected music content is supplied to a decoder amplifier unit (12) and reproduced from a headphone (14).
