abstract |
A rubber composition for sidewalls which is effective in taking the environment into consideration and making a preparation for a future reduction in petroleum supply and can have an improved balance between tear strength and unsusceptibility to crack development upon flexing without increasing in hardness. It is characterized by comprising: 100 parts by weight of a rubber ingredient comprising 30-80 wt.% natural rubber and 20-70 wt.% epoxidized natural rubber; 15-60 parts by weight of silica; and 2-20 parts by weight of a plasticizer having a double bond. |
