abstract |
Methods of inducing a cancer-specific immune response are disclosed through administrationnof an immune stimulant in the context of tumor cell death induction. Currentlynused clinical methods of inducing localized tumor cell death are modified tonoptimize immune response induction. One embodiment of the invention discloses pharmaceuticalncompositions and kits for modifying the palliative procedure of transarterialnchemoembolization so as to promote uptake and presentation of tumor antigensnin an immunostimulatory microenvironment, thereby allowing for inductionnof T cell, B cell and NK responses, which control not only local, but also systemicntumor growth and metastasis. |
