abstract A delivery device (10, 110, 300, 500) for a medicament including: a housing (50), or a main body (310, 505), a receptacle (54, 600) holding a medicament in the form of a powder; and a source of propellant (53, 305), wherein the housing (50), or the main body (310, 505) provides an inlet (63, 380) and an outlet (55, 370) for the receptacle (54, 600), wherein the inlet (63, 380) is in fluid communication with the source of propellant (53, 305) and is directed against the medicament and the outlet (55, 370) is spaced from the medicament to allow aerosolization of the medicament; the device provides improved delivery efficiency, particularly a delivered fine particle fraction of greater than 20% by weight.
