The invention relates to monomers of formula PG-Z-VG-(S-aryl)n, wherein n is a whole number between 2 - 5, PG is a polymerisable group, VG is a cross-linking group and Z represents -X-CH2- and X represents O-, NRc or a binding, Rc represents H or a short-chained alkyl group. The polymerisable group comprises at least one polymerisable double bond and the cross-linking group is a straight-chained, branched or cyclic alkyl group having between 1 - 12 carbon atoms or an aryl group having between 6 - 18 carbon atoms, which can optionally contain up to three heteroatoms selected from O, S and N. The invention also relates to polymers produced therefrom and to the use thereof. |
