abstract An optical transmitter of polyvinyl chloride resin composition excelling in transparency and being acceptable as an optical resin material. There is provided an optical transmitter of resin composition (1) containing a polyvinyl chloride resin as a main component and exhibiting a calorie of endothermic peak existing at 110° to 210°C of 0 to 4.0 mJ/mg, or (2) composed mainly of a polyvinyl chloride resin of 62 to 73% chlorine content, or (3) containing a polyvinyl chloride resin as a main component and containing a substance of 7.0 to 12.0 (cal/cm3)1/2 solubility parameter in an amount of less than 50 wt.%.
