abstract Disclosed are: a composite particle comprising: paraffin wax, (1) a protease and (1e) at least one stabilizer for the enzymatic activity of the enzyme, selected from a borate, a protein, a polyhydric alcohol and a water-soluble polymer; or paraffin wax, (2) a starch-degrading enzyme and (2e) at least one stabilizer for the enzymatic activity of the enzyme, selected from a polyhydric alcohol, a nonionic surfactant and a water-soluble polymer; a washing composition comprising the composite particle; and a process for production of a composite particle, comprising mixing paraffin wax, a protease and the stabilizer, adjusting the temperature of the mixture to a temperature equal to or higher than that of the softening temperature (or the melting point) of the paraffin wax, solidifying the mixture by cooling, and then granulating the solidified product to yield a composite particle.
