The invention generally provides methods and compositions for modulating TNFR2 p75 receptor expression for the treatment or prevention of ischemia in a subject. In one embodiment, the invention enhances collateral vessel development and mobilization of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) from bone marrow by increasing p75 TNFR2 signaling in a cell of the subject. |
