titleOfInvention Panoramic image capturing device and image processing method for panoramic image capturing
abstract A panoramic image capturing device for displaying a panoramic X-ray image showing the internal structure of a row of teeth of a subject and most suitably focused freely according to the position by using panoramic image data by once capturing the X-ray panoramic image along any cross section along the row of teeth. A panoramic image capturing device comprises an X-ray source (31) and a detector (32) for outputting an electric signal representing a digital amount according to applied X-rays at a constant frame rate. The device further comprises means (24) for moving a pair of the X-ray source (31) and the detector (32) around a subject while keeping them opposed to each other with the subject interposed between them, means (54) for sequentially storing the output signal of the detector as frame data, means (56) for creating a panoramic image along a desired cross section from the frame data, and means (56, 57, 58) for creating a partial cross-sectional image which is of a specified partial region of the panoramic image along the desired cross section and is focused according to a desired spatial position in the imaging space.
