Load independent index of diastolic function |
abstract |
The present invention is based in part on the surprising discovery that a load independent index of diastolic function (LIIDF) can be obtained from a determination of peak driving force (kx0) and peak-resistive force (cEpeak) in a subject, and that kxo vs. cEpeak, maintain a load independent and linear relationship Similarly, a non model-based approach using a value for duration of the E-wave (Edur) from the E-wave, and a value for a deceleration time-acceleration time (DT-AT) of the E-wave can be used to derive a linear function describing the relationship of Edur to DT-AT, which also provides the analogous LIIDF The LIIDF can be obtained using data obtained from a variety of imaging modalities, including noninvasive and invasive modalities. |
