Iontophoresis apparatus capable of controlling dose and timing of administration of sleep inducer and analeptic agent |
abstract |
Disclosed is an iontophoresis apparatus which can control the dose and timing of administration of a sleep inducer and an analeptic agent. The iontophoresis apparatus comprises a power unit, a drug supply means which is connected to the power unit and comprises at least two or more electrode structures each containing an ionic substance, and a current-controlling means for controlling the current to be fed to each of the electrode structures separately. In the apparatus, a predetermined amount of the ionic substance is released with a predetermined timing from each of the electrode structures in accordance with the current fed from the current-controlling means so that the substance can be administered to a living body transdermally, at least one of the two or more electrode structures contains a sleep inducer as the ionic substance, and at least another one of the two or more electrode structures contains an analeptic agent as the ionic substance. |
