abstract The invention relates to the filling of hydrophobic or hydrophobically modified porous microparticles with hydrophobic substances and to the subsequent encapsulation of the resultant hydrophobic particles using layer-by-layer (LbL) polyelectrolyte technology in order to produce homogeneous suspensions in water and to enable the controlled release of the encapsulated active ingredients. Adhesion to the target site is improved by a specific modification of the LbL surface.
