abstract |
A liquid filtering system (100) and methods for filtering are disclosed. One embodiment of the system includes a filtering apparatus (100a) having a receiving receptacle (50) coupled with an (30) adapter. The adapter has an adapter port (34) for receiving a vacuum and an interface for coupling with an output receptacle (80) that receives filtered liquid from the filtering apparatus. The adapter (30) is between the receiving receptacle (50) and output receptacle (80) when the output receptacle is coupled with the adapter interface. The system also includes a base (1) having a substantially rigid housing containing an internal vacuum channel (2) terminating at a base vacuum delivery port (2a). The adapter is couplable with the base to connect the adapter port to the base vacuum delivery port. |
