abstract Disclosed is an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion which is suppressed in increase of viscosity and excellent in mechanical stability, while having low fluorine-containing surfactant concentration. Specifically disclosed is an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion obtained by dispersing particles of a fluoropolymer in an aqueous medium. This aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion is characterized in that the content of a fluorine-containing surfactant (A) having a molecular weight of less than 1000 is not more than 100 ppm of the mass of the fluoropolymer, and an anionic surfactant (B) other than the fluorine-containing surfactant (A) and a water-soluble polymer (C) are contained in the aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion.
