abstract | An optical recording method or the like which is high in recording/reproducing efficiency when a laser beam is used in recording, reproducing, or focus controlling, is not affected by the deviations of the optical axes of a plurality of laser beams to be caused by errors in optical recording and optical reproducing devices, permits high/multiple recording, and can simplifies the layer structure of an optical recording medium itself. The optical recording method or the like comprises at least the first interference image recording step of recording a plurality of bits at one recording when a recording light is applied at an arbitrary focal distance X1 in the thickness direction of the recording layer of an optical recording medium, an interference image is formed and the interference image is recorded on the recording layer, and the second interference image recording step of recording a plurality of bits at one recording when the recording light is applied at a focal distance X2 different from the focal distance X1, a second interference image is formed and the second interference image is recorded on the recording layer. |
