The invention relates to a method for production of a catalyst with a porous support and at least one active metal wherein: a porous support is produced with a specific BET surface area of 500 m<SUP>2</SUP>/g, said porous support being transparent to an activating radiation, at least one active metal precursor is applied to the porous support with at least one active metal and at least one group bonded to the active metal by a ligand atom, selected from oxygen, sulphur, nitrogen, phosphorous and carbon to generate an adduct including the porous support and the at least one active metal precursor and the adduct is irradiated with the activating radiation which converts the active metal into the reduced form thereof. |
