abstract |
It is found that HGF can activate the proliferation and migration of a lymphatic endothelial cell to promote the lymphangiogenesis. Based on this finding, a lymphangiogenesis promoter is provided which comprises HGF or a functionally equivalent protein or compound thereof as an active ingredient. Also provided is a method for promoting lymphangiogenesis comprising the step of topically administering HGF or a functionally equivalent protein thereof to a patient suffering from lymphatic edema. |
