A battery can capable of smoothly storing a group of plates without providing a damage to the group of plates while securing the strength of an opening part. The battery can comprises a cylindrical side part, a bottom part, and the opening part. The cylindrical side part is formed of a first side part formed on the bottom part side and a second side part formed on the opening part side. The thickness T1 of the first side part and the thickness T2 of the second side part are adjusted to fulfill the requirement of a relational expressing T1<T2, and the inner diameter of the cylindrical side part is fixed starting at the opening part side to the bottom part side. |
