abstract The invention provides cleaning tablets for use in a washing operation. The tablets are characterised in that each tablet has a surface area of between 800mm2 and 4000mm2 such that it can be used singularly or with one or more other like tablets depending upon a required washing performance. Also provided are cleaning methods which use the tablets and packaged products which comprise the tablets.
