abstract |
It is intended to provide an assay method whereby an endocrine substance such as feline insulin in a specimen originating in an animal such as a cat can be accurately, quickly and conveniently assayed. According to this method of assaying an endocrine substance in a specimen which aims at assaying the specimen originating in an animal such as a cat, the specimen is pretreated by removing an autoantibody bonded to the endocrine substance contained in the specimen and then the an endocrine substance can be assayed. It is also possible to determine the antibody titer of the autoantibody bonded to the endocrine substance in the specimen. Moreover, it is possible to diagnose a disease relating to an endocrine substance by determining the autoantibody titer of the endocrine substance in a specimen. |
