Disclosed is a device (20, 40, 50, 60) comprising a wound dressing (28, 48, 58, 68) for treating a wound or the skin surrounding the wound, and at least one wound documentation aid (29, 49, 59, 69) for documenting characteristic data regarding the wound or the skin surrounding the wound. The wound dressing is provided with at least one wound contact layer (22, 42, 52, 62) that promotes healing of the wound and a support layer (21, 41, 51, 61).
