abstract A water holding molding (10) formed by mixing cement, fiber bundles (14) and fiber masses (16) and hardening the mixture has first pores (22) in the fiber bundle (14) within a platelike block (12), second pores (24) between the fiber bundles (14) and a cement gel (19), third pores (28) in the fiber masses (16), fourth pores (30) between adjacent fiber masses (16), and fifth pores (32) formed by discharging moisture or air. The first, second and fifth pores (22, 24, 32) are employed as capillary portions, the third pores (28) are employed as water storage portions, and the fourth pores (30) are employed as water conduction hole portions. When moisture is supplied to the surface (18), it is absorbed into not only the first, second and fifth pores (22, 24, 32) but also the fourth pores (30) and held in the third pores (28). When the temperature rises, moisture is supplied from the third pores (28) through the first, second and fifth pores (32) to the surface (18) and evaporated.
