abstract Disclosed is a novel block copolymer which is used for preparing a pH-responsive polymer micelle. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a block copolymer. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a polymer containing an aspartic acid hydrazide structure. This method is characterized in that a polymer containing an aspartic acid benzyl ester structure is reacted with hydrazine so that the aspartic acid benzyl ester portion is converted into aspartic acid hydrazide.
