A compound screening carried out by using a cell image, wherein a compound giving an effective action to a cell is searched by an automated process, or a compound search is carried out more effectively than by existing methods. A cell image analyzing device comprising a photographing unit (55) for acquiring a plurality of cell images different in photographing conditions, and an analyzing unit (80) for extracting the positions of cells and at least one feature quantity based on the plurality of cell images and statistically analyzing the extracted feature quantity as a parameter. |
