abstract | A lithographic printing plate making method which enables development on a printing machine and can easily provide a lithographic printing plate excellent in plate wear and image reproducibility, and an image exposing system used for it. A lithographic printing plate making method comprising the steps of image-exposing a printing plate material having on a support an image forming layer capable of on-machine development, and development-processing on a lithographic printing machine to make a lithographic printing plate, characterized in that an exposure light used for the image-exposing is a laser beam having a wavelength ranging from 350nm to 450nm, and the method further comprises the step of heating with a laser beam having a wavelength range of 700 to 1500nm prior to the development processing. |
