abstract |
This invention provides, for example, a support for an image recording material that can realize recording of high-quality images free from the occurrence of blisters and free from uneven recording or uneven fixation. The support comprises base paper and at least one polyolefin resin layer provided on both sides of the base paper. The obverse polyolefin resin layer provided on an image recording layer-providing side in the polyolefin resin layers has a multilayer structure of two or more layers. A polypropylene resin is contained in at least any one of the obverse polyolefin resin layers other than the outermost obverse polyolefin resin layer located furthermost from the base paper. The content A (% by mass) of the polypropylene resin is larger than the content B (% by mass) of the polypropylene resin in the outermost obverse polyolefin resin layer. The support is preferably used for image recording in which at least any one of thermal recoding, thermal development, and thermal fixation is carried out. |
