abstract |
A process for producing a vinyl polymer in which a vinyl polymer having any polymerization catalysts effectively removed can be produced. There is provided a process for producing a vinyl polymer, characterized in that at the completion of polymerization, an oxygen treatment is carried out in a polar solvent. Preferably, there is provided a process in which a polymer having a polar solvent of ≥ 10 specific inductive capacity at 20°C added thereto is brought into contact with a mixed gas consisting of an inert gas, such as nitrogen, and oxygen wherein the oxygen concentration is ≤ explosion limit oxygen concentration in pure component of the solvent. |
