Light emission device |
abstract |
A light emission device (1) includes a semiconductor light emission element (2) and a transparent ceramic fluorescent body (11) for converting wavelength of the light from the semiconductor light emission element (2). The semiconductor light emission element (2) emits ultraviolet light. The ceramic fluorescent body (11) corresponding to the semiconductor light emission element (2) emitting the ultraviolet light at the wavelength 350-420 nm has the light transmission rate whose lowest value is in the range from 0.1% to 40% and the ceramic fluorescent body (11) at the main light wavelength has light transmission ratio in the range from 10% to 90%. |
