Concomitant use of hepatitis c virus-origin peptide with interferon |
abstract |
It is intended to disclose a method of treating a patient suffering from an HCV-associated disease which comprises administering to a patient a combination of a hepatitis C virus-origin peptide, which contains an HLA-binding motif compatible with the HLA of the patient in the sequence thereof and is recognized by an antibody detected from patients having hepatitis C virus, with at least one member selected from interferon and liver protectors (preferably interferon). This method is a new therapy for chronic hepatitis which is applicable, in particular, to interferon and ribavirin insensitivities and post-therapeutic hepatocarcinogenesis. It is also intended to disclose a medicinal composition for treating a patient suffering from an HCV-associated disease which contains a hepatitis C virus-origin peptide, which contains an HLA-binding motif compatible with the HLA of the patient in the sequence thereof and is recognized by an antibody detected from patients having hepatitis C virus, and is to be used together with at least one member selected from interferon and liver protectors (preferably interferon). |
