abstract |
The present invention provides a colorimetric light-up sensor for determining the presence and optionally the concentration of an analyte in a sample. Methods of utilizing the sensor and kits that include the sensor also are provided. The sensor utilizes nucleic acid enzymes that ligate substrate fragments to form aggregates from the resulting substrate and oligonucleotide functionalized particles. The nucleic acid enzymes useful in the ligation may include DNA and RNA based enzymes and enzymes modified with aptamer components to form aptazymes. |
