titleOfInvention Spinal compression system and methods of use
abstract A spine compression device for use during diagnostic imaging or diagnosing back pain includes a base having a body side and a bed side. A footplate upstands on the body side of the base and is movably coupled with the base. At least one resilient member has a first end at least indirectly coupled with the footplate. A drive assembly is configured to apply a compressive or tensioning force to the at least one resilient so that the spring applies a force to the footplate, thereby causing the footplate to move relative to the base.
