abstract |
Deterioration in battery characteristics is suppressed by securing ion conductivity and stability against residual moisture in the electrolyte. Specifically disclosed is a positive electrode for lithium ion batteries comprising a collector with electrical conductivity, a positive electrode active material layer in contact with the collector, and a coating layer formed on at least a part of the surface of the positive electrode active material layer. The positive electrode active material layer contains a compound which includes at least on element selected from the group consisting of Co, Ni and Mn as a constituent element. The coating layer is composed of a lithium ion-conductive inorganic compound represented by the following general formula: LixPTyOz or LiaMObNc which is excellent in moisture resistance. |
