[PROBLEMS] To provide Y-type hexagonal ferrite exhibiting a high sintered compact density and also a low loss, and an antenna using the ferrite. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A hexagonal ferrite having a Y-type ferrite as a main phase, characterized in that the above hexagonal ferrite has M1O (wherein M1 is at least one of Ba and Sr), M2O (wherein M2 is at least one of Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Mn) and Fe2O3 as main components, exhibits a loss factor of 0.15 or less, exhibits a sintered compact density of 4.6 X 103 Kg/m3 or more; and an antenna and the communication equipment using the above hexagonal ferrite. |
