abstract |
The present invention provides a process for preparing a filled halobutyl elastomer which comprises mixing a halobutyl elastomer, mineral filler and an oligomeric polyol compound or mixture of an oligomeric polyol compound and an additive containing at least one hydroxyl group and at least one functional group having a basic amine group, and curing the resulting filled elastomer mixture. The invention also relates to a filled elastomer composition prepared by said process having improved scorch safety. |
