abstract A composition for a ground-improving material which is extensively utilizable in ground improvement works, cutoff works, etc. and is excellent in penetrativity and durability; and a grouting material which comprises the composition and is highly penetrative into the ground. The composition for ground-improving materials is characterized by containing a blast-furnace fume. Desirably, it contains silica fume and further contains cement or calcium hydroxide. Preferably, it contains cement and an alkali-thickenable polymer emulsion.
