Use of an antagonist to a protein BIR1 (B cell immunoglobulin receptor 1); a method of screening the antagonist; polypeptides of BIR1 subtypes; polynucleotides encoding the same; and antibodies against these polynucleotides. An antagonist to BIR1, which functions as an immunosuppressant receptor, has an immunopotentiation activity and is usable in preventing and/or treating cancer, immunodeficiency diseases or infections. |
