titleOfInvention Thin tube bending excessively with light
abstract A thin tube used by being inserted into the cavity section of a tubular article or the space section of a structure, and capable of judging the bending direction of the forward end of the thin tube through a sensor provided at the forward end thereof by applying light and further capable of bending the forward end of the thin tube to an arbitrary direction by means of an actuator provided at the forward end of the thin tube. The thin tube used for internal observation or treatment by being inserted into the cavity section of a tubular article or the space section of a structure is provided, at the forward end thereof, with a device for sensing irradiation of light and/or an actuator operating through irradiation with light. A light transmitting means provided in the thin tube irradiates the device and/or the actuator with light and the extent of bending at the forward end of the thin tube is monitored and/or controlled through action of the device or the actuator in the thin tube.
