[PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing an electrode catalyst which comprises nano-lebel alloy catalyst molecules being uniform in the composition thereof and the particle diameter thereof and being supported on a carrier in a highly dispersed state. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A method, characterized in that it comprises a step of mixing a catalyst precursor comprising two or more selected from among metal salts and/or metal complexes, a solvent having a hydrophilic group and a water-insoluble solvent, to thereby prepare a reversed micell solution, a step of adding a reducing water-insoluble liquid to the above reversed micell solution, followed by heating, to form alloy particles in the inside of the reversed micell, and a step of making a carrier to support the above alloy particles. |
