abstract |
The invention relates to a pacifier (10) and nipple member (100) for deliver of active ingredients into the oral cavity of an infant or patient. The pacifier (10) includes a porous nipple member (100) and a base member (200) adapted to remain outside the oral cavity of the infant. The porous nipple member (100) includes at least one reservoir (130) or chamber therein for receiving a thin-film containing an active ingredient. The base member (200) may be removably attached to the neck (120) of the nipple member (100), or the nipple (100) and base members (120) may form a single unit. Reusable and disposable forms are disclosed. |
