abstract | The energy derived from the mechanical conversions of the muscle(s) is stored in a Mainspring. This stored energy is then released via a mechanical geared arrangement to drive an electrical generator/alternator. Electric circuitry controls and further refines the output from the generator/alternator to make it suitable for ancillary device (s) or as required. The alternator will give an alternating current that may be mono-phasic, two-phase, three phase or poly-phasic. The contraction forces activate a ratchet wheel in which in turn winds up the mainspring. A hermetically sealed, biocompatible casing contains the generator; the rectification board, microcontroller and any other associated electronic circuitry. Going into or out of the casing are the biocompatible tube(s) housing the pulling cable (s) or by hydraulic means from the kinetic device, the leads of the muscle’s neuron stimulator, power supply output leads and any other leads or mechanisms that may exist. |
