The invention provides a human CCR1 which is associated with the cardiovascular diseases, cancer, metabolic diseases, gastroenterological diseases, inflammation, hematological diseases, respiratory diseases, muscle skeleton diseases, neurological diseases, urological diseases. The invention also provides assays for the identification of compounds useful in the treatment or prevention of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, metabolic diseases, gastroenterological diseases, inflammation, hematological diseases, respiratory diseases, muscle skeleton diseases, neurological diseases, urological diseases.
