An elastomeric fluorocopolymer comprising repeating unit (l) derived from tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene, vinylidene fluoride, or a fluoromonomer represented by the general formula: CF2=CF-O-Rf (wherein Rf is saturated perfluoro- alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms or perfluoro(alkoxyalkyl)) and repeating units (m) derived from a monomer represented by the general formula: CR1R2=CR3COOCH=CH2 (wherein R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, C1-10 alkyl, or C1-10 alkoxyalkyl containing an ethereal oxygen atom; and R3 is hydrogen, fluoro, or methyl) at an (m)/(l) mole ratio of 0.0001 to 0.1; and an elastomeric fluorocopolymer composition comprising (A) the above elastomeric fluoro- copolymer, (B) an unsaturated polyfunctional compound, and (C) oxide and/or hydroxide of a divalent metal. The fuorocopolymer and the composition are excellent in crosslinking reactivity and can give crosslinked rubbers excellent in physical properties. |
