titleOfInvention | Painless atraumatic suture device and use thereof |
abstract | The invention relates to a painless atraumatic suture device and to the use thereof. The inventive device consists of: a needle (1) comprising a tip (2) which extends into a hollow body (3) having a length greater than the thickness of the tissue to be sutured, and a suture thread (4) which slides inside the hollow body (3) and which is connected to a stop element (6) which tightly seals a hole (7) that is provided in the connection between the hollow body (3) and the tip (2). The device also comprises a guide (5) which is sufficiently rigid to push the stop element (6) out of the hole (7). The invention also relates to the use of the device, comprising the following steps consisting in: using the needle (1) to pierce the tissue to be sutured, such that the tissue is only in contact with the hollow body (3) and not with the suture thread (4); sliding the suture thread (4) internally through the hollow body (3), moving same to the front part of the needle (1); and extracting the needle (1) from the tissue, moving the suture thread (4) to the rear part of the needle (1). |
