abstract | A process by which a curable resin composition which comprises an organic polymer having one or more reactive silicon-containing groups and has thixotropic properties imparted thereto is highly efficiently produced with satisfactory productivity. The process for producing a curable resin composition is characterized in that it comprises at least two steps, i.e., a mixing step (A) in which an organic polymer (a) having at least one reactive silicon-containing group per molecule is mixed with a thixotropic agent (b) and a packing step (B) in which the mixture obtained in the step (A) is packed in a container, and that during the packing step (B) and/or after the packing step (B), the mixture is heated at a temperature exceeding the temperature used for mixing in the step (A). |
